Mrs. Abimbola Amoke Oyefesobi was born on 2nd January, 1961 at Lagos State, Nigeria.
EDUCATION
She commenced her primary education at All Saints’ Anglican Primary School, Yaba, Lagos State from 1967 to 1973 after which she attended Muslim Girls High School, Ijebu-Ode and Abeokuta Continuing Education Centre where she earned her West Africa School Certificate (WASC), in June 1980. She then proceeded to Ogun State College of Education, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State (now Tai Solarin College of Education, Omu-Ijebu, Ogun State) where she acquired her Nigerian Certificate in Education (NCE) in 1983.
The quest for further education took her to the University of Ilorin, Kwara State, where she obtained Bachelor of Science Education (B.Sc, Ed.) (Hons) in Integrated Science, 1991. She also attended Ogun State Polytechnic (now Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta) and Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State where she obtained Diploma in Public Administration in 1994 and Master’s Degree in Public Administration in year 2004 respectively.
NATIONAL SERVICE
She served the Mandatory Youth Service Corps from July, 1983 to July, 1984 in Kaduna State. During this period, she served as Biology and Integrated Science Teacher at Women Teachers College, Zonkwa, Kaduna State.
WORK EXPERIENCE
On completion of the National Youth Service Programme, she was employed by the Ogun State Teaching Service Commission between 1984 and April, 1992 and was posted to Ositelu Memorial Grammar School, Ogere-Remo and later to Catholic Comprehensive High School Onikolobo, Abeokuta as classroom teacher.
From there she joined the service of the Ogun State Polytechnic, now Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta on 2nd April, 1992 as an Administrative Officer II. By dint of hard work and excellent performance, she rose through the ranks and by appointment to the position of Deputy Registrar on 10th June, 2009, the position she holds until December 2018. She is currently the College Registrar at Ogun State College of Health Technology, Ilese-Ijebu.
